Velevet Quarter Horse Ranch is proud to be home to the following high achieving ranch horses:

“Cooper”

Signature Im Too Cool Q-69156

Sired by SSQ Ima Seeker Too x Pinebrook Miss Peppy Leo

Cooper was foaled in 2008 and is Sues personal riding horse.  He was a successful show horse in his own right before coming to his “Forever Home” here at VQHR.

He is mainly performance bred having Beggar Bingo (imp) on his sires side and he gets his amazing colour from his dams side with her sire being the imported cutting stallion in Peppy Palleo (imp) who is a son of the great Peppy San and the bottom side goes back to the great stallion in Dell Mingo (imp)

Black Gelding
Sired by RQH Doing It In Style x Bingos Fancy Lass

Cricket was foaled in 2005 and is Kodies personal horse and comes from the Rose family in Victoria. He is mainly performance bred on the top and bottom with a sprinkling of sprint breeding on his bottom side.  His sire is a great show horse in his own right and has proven himself as a sire of outstanding show horses which are shown in every state of Australia.

I would say his colour comes from Cassius Deck (imp) who was imported by the Con Wilson in the early days and his sire is by the AQHA Hall Of Fame Inductee, no other that the great stallion “Inevitably” who has been the leading sire of performance horses in Australia for many years

He was purchased and arrived in western Australia and was trained by Brian Cramp and was shown for many years by Monique and Courtney Holden in youth, amateur and open events.

“Bruce” was foaled in 2006 and was purchased for Sues son, Sam to ride and is a favourite of many who visit the ranch, especially the beginners who feel at home on him.  He was bred by Yasmin Lee Steere in Western Australia and the majority of his training was done by Garry Marshal who showed him in all aspects of western events and he was much loved by his then owner, Elizabeth Ivankovich who owned and showed him for a good part of his life.
